When she was a young girl she was admitted to the hospital for about 6 months, and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. It was his work as a skater alongside Denis Samokhin that made him popular. Both teams participated in the Junior World Championships, where they placed 8th and 7th each in 1993. The pair briefly worked together alongside Maxim Kachanov and they were in the top 5 of in 1994. Goodwill Games she then teamed along with Vladimir Fedorov in 1995. They also had success in their partnership, winning the Finlandia Trophy two times and taking part in the Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Their partnership was a success as they managed to do much more than they could on their own. However, the highlight of the partnership came when they finished 15th overall at the World Championships 1998.
